News : Hybrid Nightmares set to release 4 albums in 2015
Melbourne based Extreme Metal quintet Hybrid Nightmares are set to release four albums, dubbed “The Ages” collection over the course of 2015. The four albums will be housed in a limited edition boxset as pictured below.
The band explains the album.
After creation, we have an era of peace. Death and disease are unknown – all that exists is perfect order and harmony across the cosmos. All things must end, however, and as the first man dies, the first vestiges of chaos herald a new age. As man becomes more and more frightened of losing what he has, war and conflict break out, bringing in an age where order and chaos are just barely balanced. When this balance breaks, chaos reigns supreme, with death and destruction as the only rulers of the stars. At the end of this age, we see a rapid decay….and a rebirth. The cycle repeats. And repeats again. But every age has its story, and every story has its teller.
Soon, these stories will be told.
For a limited time you can stream the entire First Age via the Hybrid Nightmares Bandcamp page – www.hybridnightmares.bandcamp.com/album/the-first-age
The release will consist of over 100 minutes of music with the first release The First Age being released on Thursday, 15th January, 2015 with an album launch to coincide with the release on Saturday, 7th February with special guests Catacombs, Aquilus, Adamus Exul and Amaros.
The Ages was recorded & mixed by Ben Plant of Apollo Studios and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Enslaved) and will be accompanied by a full UV light and costumed stage show at all live appearances in 2015.
Capitalising on their unique live experience, Hybrid Nightmares were the highest voted band nationally in a competition to open for Cradle of Filth, plus have shared the stage with Psycroptic, Ne’Obliviscaris, Be’lakor, Enslaved, Beyond Creation and Gloryhammer.
Each CD in The Ages will be released both physically and digitally on the following dates.
The First Age – January 15th 2015
The Second Age – April 20th 2015
The Third Age – July 20th 2015
The Fourth Age – 20th October 2015
