News : Marduk And Inquisition to Tour Australia In January
Long hailed as one of the pioneers of black metal in its rawest of forms, thanks to Direct Touring, Swedish unit Marduk will be returning to terrorize our southern continent in January next year (having last toured here in 2013). And joining them in their nationwide assault will be Colombian born, Seattle based two-piece, Inquisition.
The bright days of the Australian summer will momentarily darken in mid January when two of
black metals most notorious and infamous acts descend on the nation for a twin attack of
biblical proportions.Marduk and Inquisition will hit every capital city and raze them to the ground leaving trails of
destruction and mayhem in their path.Since coming into being in 1990, Sweden’s Marduk have unleashed 12 albums of scathing
extremity and the utmost brutality. Regarded as one of the pioneers of black metal, their
barbaric, unhinged and unrelenting live assault must be witnessed, if not survived. And with
album number 13 about to be released, Australia will once again be in the firing line to receive
an unadulterated blast of caustic black metal.Inquisition formed in Colombia, South America but now reside in Seattle where they taunt the
locals. The fact that the consist of just two members does nothing to detract from their ferocity
and the intensity of their craft. Their sixth and latest album, Obsure Verses For The Multiverse is
a psychedelic journey of satanic intentions, cosmic rituals and dark energies that completely
mesmerizes when performed live.Having just celebrated the birth of Christ at Xmas, Easter will come early in 2015 when these
two most extreme acts bring their fires to bear against Christ and all that is holy in what will be
undoubtedly one of the most brutal death marches across our great southern land ever.
To help celebrate the misanthropic evening, Marduk will be performing in full their classic opuses ‘Panzer Division Marduk’ and ‘Those of the Unlight’. And will no doubt preview songs from their forthcoming, as yet untitled, thirteenth studio album, also.
Tickets went on sale today, with early bird tickets starting at just $39 until the end of September via all the usual outlets. Do not miss out on your chance to catch these legends of extreme live as their frostbitten touch quells the sweltering heat.
