News : Aversions Crown Sign Worldwide Deal With Nuclear Blast!
Brisbane’s Aversions Crown have been steadily building a fine reputation for themselves since their inception only four years ago. Alongside the “mechanized brutality and haunting atmospherics” of their music, the band utilise three guitarists brandishing 8-string guitars. Aversions Crown have since appeared at such festivals as Warped Tour and toured across Europe and the United Kingdom with The Acacia Strain, Thy Art is Murder, Cattle Decapitation, and more.
And others have clearly taken notice. Namely, Nuclear Blast Records.
After having signed with the large German record label, for this reason, Aversions Crown’s sophomore album, ‘Tyrant’, the follow-up to their 2011 debut ‘Servitude’ promises a “a thematic fixation on dystopian nightmares and hostile extraterrestrial encounters” that will be distributed through Nuclear Blast. With the beautiful and striking artwork created by the Swedish maestro himself, Pär Olofsson, it’s the icing to a fine, atomic blasted cake (see what I did there? HA! Sorry…).
Guitarist Chris Cougan had this to say of the exciting news: “A nuclear blast is pretty much what happened to my mind when I found out the label was interested in AVERSIONS CROWN. Nuclear Blast are the pinnacle of metal labels. We couldn’t be more stoked.”
While no specific date has been set for Tyrant’s as of yet, and has instead only been mentioned as “later this year”, it will undoubtedly be worth the short wait.
Metal Obsessions wishes to congratulate Aversions Crown on their signing with Nuclear Blast Entertainment!
