News : Adrift For Days members go acoustic on “The Isolation Tapes”
Well when we say members go acoustic we really mean Adrift For Days guitarist Lachlan R. Dale who you may also know from Serious Beak, Jxckxlz, Battle Pope and a million other projects .
“The Isolation Tapes began when, upon deciding I needed a prolonged confrontation with my mind, I booked a trip to the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains.
For five days I sat with my guitar in a small centennial wood-cabin, surrounded by kangaroos and ancient cliffs, and warmed by a small fire.
This EP was slowly assembled with the help of friends in the twelve months following.”
The aforementioned friends are Natalya Bing on violin and fellow Adrift member Mick Kaslik on vocals and FX, who both complement Dale’s guitar work perfectly here. It’s a truly beautiful album, and one that hopefully has successors.
You can download The Isolation Tapes as a pay-what-you-want download over on the Art As Catharsis Bandcamp page.
