News : Hell On The Bay II: Judgment Bay – Headliner announcement
After exclusively announcing Bane of Winterstorm, Hybrid Nightmares and Ruins for the second installment of Hell On The Bay (not to forget Demolition already being announced), Metal Obsession bring you the headliner for the event. If you haven’t been paying attention to these announcements or this event, Hell On The Bay is a heavy metal boat cruise on the Victoria Star cruise ship, featuring 5 bands, a metal party room and a 4 hour cruise over Port Phillip Bay. The gig will take place on Saturday 6th September from 7:00pm until 11:30pm, departing from Central Wharf, Melbourne Docklands.
Early bird tickets will go sale for $45 on Monday 5th May through the Brimstone store, with standard tickets being $55 afterwards.
Now, for the announcement… Headlining this years Hell On The Bay festival is Sydney heavy metal group LORD! The band kicked off their ‘Singing for Your Supper’ mini-tour in Melbourne last night at the Evelyn Hotel. They will be raising money for a special project by playing gigs throughout May (tour flyer here), then taking a break from gigs for a few months before returning at Hell On The Bay in September.
“When it comes to Australia’s metal elite, Lord are right up the top of the list. Their heavy yet melodic sound has carried them on countless national and international tours and at almost ten years into their career, are performing stronger than ever. We are very proud to have them as our 2014 headliners!” – Brimstone Bookings
“Lord may well have never been a band to take themselves too seriously, but their music is a far different story. The guys are complete professionals when it comes to their music and what is on display throughout their latest album, is of once again no exception to this. Digital Lies is a world class album, by all accounts.” – Metal Obsession
Make sure you get your ticket for this event as soon as possible. Last years one was a sell out, and I have no doubt that this will be too! RSVP to the official Hell On The Bay Facebook event page here.
