News : Living Death Fest II – Headliner Announced
Announced earlier today at midday via the official Facebook event page, Kiss Or Kill have revealed the headliner for this years Living Death Fest II.
And it is… *dramatic pause for effect* Brisbane’s own brutal death metallers, Disentomb!
Last year these guys blew up the stage with half the venue slamming and throwing down on the stage with the band. This year it will definitely be even crazier.
As a neat extra, Disentomb will be launching their sophomore album, Misery, for the event as well, and will be performing the new album in full. These guys will no doubt tear the spine out of the Bendigo Hotel as the headliners for the night with their fearsome brand of brutal death metal.
Fans can expect one of Australia’s most brutal acts to be performing their second album Misery in full. It will be the first time people will hear songs from Misery live. Expect blasting, slams, guttural vocals and absolute devastation.
With last years Living Death Fest proving a hit, the festival returns once more with Living Death Fest II. With an even bigger line-up, expect a host of great new local acts as well as some old favourites. Ranging from the likes of New Zealand brutal tech deathers Carnal, Internal Nightmare, The Seaford Monster, and Chaotic Reference Point, more bands are expected to be announced before the festival kicks off on August 30th at the Bendigo Hotel, Collingwood.
Here’s what Living Death Fest had to say of the event:
Following the success of last year’s Living Death Fest, we return for the next installment with a heavier, even bigger line up than last year. Ten bands including nine of the heaviest bands from Australia along with one from across the Tasman Sea in New Zealand will decimate the Bendigo Hotel in Collingwood on Saturday August 30, 2014.
Headlining this year’s Living Death Fest is DISENTOMB who will be launching their second album MISERY at Living Death Fest. Fans can expect one of Australia’s most brutal acts to be performing their second album Misery in full. It will be the first time people will hear songs from Misery live. Expect blasting, slams, guttural vocals and absolute devastation.
Adding to this night of aggression are Brutal Tech Death band Carnal from New Zealand, Carnal combine Ruthless blasting grooves, Destructive bass punishments and inhuman riffage of the 7 strings layered with a guttural wall of destruction.
Other bands ready to show off their stuff on the night so far include Internal Nightmare, The Seaford Monster and Chaotic Reference Point with five more of Australia’s heaviest to be announced.
Judging by this turn out alone, this is going to be one hell of a show! Tickets are being sold dirt cheap, too. This is an event you do not want to miss!
