News : Aborted join Psycroptic and The Schoenberg Automaton for Australian tour
Here’s one for all you fans of the super heavy; Belgian death metal band Aborted (who are as brutal as the name suggests) are hitting Australia on the back of their new album The Necrotic Manifesto. Joining them is two of Australia’s finest tech death acts Psycroptic and The Schoenberg Automaton.
If you’re not familiar with the bands (really? you’re not?!), this might help;
“Hailing from the remote island of Tasmania, Psycroptic have progressively carved a niche all their own within today’s overcrowded Metal scene. Staying clear of trends, the band incorporate many elements of music – extreme or otherwise – to capture a sound that is uniquely their own. Not to be pigeonholed, Psycroptic stand apart from the horde and add a fresh element in the extreme metal realm with their precise blend of brutality, intensity and groove.
Psycroptic’s latest album ‘The Inherited Repression’ which was released in February 2012, has been hailed by fans and the media as one of the most original and ‘fresh’ releases from within the metal realm in years!
In this world, there are many ways to die… there are even more ways to kill! And sonic mass murderers Aborted have elaborately focused on this grim reality since their inception back in 1995. With eight albums under their belts, the current being The Necrotic Manifesto, Aborted have always been deadly serious about their gore.
Delivering aural blows with maximum versatility, hostility and dead on accuracy, they have successfully melded together the sounds of Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Entombed and many more while retaining their own signature sound and visual identity.
Aborted will hack, slash, cut, grind, blast, groove, crush, rip, tear, destroy and kill in every way humanly possible. Intensity – check, brutality – check, technicality – check, inhuman savage vocals – check, keyboards – nope, bittersweet melodies – hell no, folk elements – get outta here?!?!
The Schoenberg Automaton are a mouthful and an earful of mind-bending technical death metal. With a sound that’s unmistakeable yet hard to pin down, TSA have built a reputation as a ferocious and calculated live act, performing alongside several world-class notaries including Animals as Leaders, Between the Buried and Me, Born Of Osiris and appearing at Australia’s iconic Soundwave festival as winners of Triple J Unearthed. With the upcoming release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, Apus, TSA are ready to step it up a notch and compete on the world stage with a brand new set of savage and original compositions.”
