The ‘Heroic Fantasy Power Metal’ band GLORYHAMMER (Napalm Records) is the new project formed by Christopher Bowes, the mastermind behind pirate-metal sensation ALESTORM, with a desire to explore the more symphonic and epic side of metal. The band’s debut concept album ‘TALES FROM THE KINGDOM OF FIFE’, released in March 2013, tells a story based in an alternate-history medieval Scotland, where magic and dark sorcery reigns supreme. GLORYHAMMER is a band like no other… PREPARE FOR EPIC BATTLES!
“Gloryhammer have set the bar for epic power metal with their debut release. The band have created the perfect blend of soaring vocals, speed metal guitars, galloping drums and heavy keyboards to make a genre defining masterpiece.” (Metal Obsession)
“The mix here is excellent, allowing all instruments to come together in a swift tornado of epic power metal.” (Metal Storm)
Joining them on this epic quest is Australia’s party pirates Lagerstein! Sailing, looting, drinking and plundering is what these scallywags do best, all mixed into a must see stage show. Loaded with brass and accordions, rocking drums and drunken chants, this is probably going to be the best party of your life!!
“These boozehounds made no secret of the reason they were there…to drink and to play some fucking pirate metal!!!” (Press Records)
“While most bands may enjoy a drink or three before, after or even during their set, Lagerstein have based their entire band ethos on the art of drinking. They don’t just sound like pirates: they live like them in all their swashbuckling, rum-guzzling glory.” (Rave Magazine)
