News : Hadal Maw mini tour, album update + music video
After sharing the stage with the likes of Ne Obliviscaris, King Parrot and The Amenta, Melbourne’s newest death metal outfit, Hadal Maw, are set to hit the road once more this January/February.
Hadal Maw will kick off their 2014 tour roster in Adelaide on January 10th with Voros, who will be launching their brand new EP alongside Imminent Psychosis and Headbore at the Cavern Club. Hadal Maw will then venture to the Australian Capital Territory on January 24th with The Levitation Hex to perform at The Basement, continuing to Sydney to perform with Be’lakor, Dreadnaught, Claim The Throne and many others at Under the Southern Cross Festival at the Bald Faced Stage, and finally finishing up in Melbourne with The Seaford Monster and more at Melbourne’s newest metal venue Club 303 in Northcote.
Opening the proceedings will be the debut of progressive death metal outfit Orchestrating the Damned. Comprising of extremely talented past and present members of the Archivist and Architects of Evolution, their current output of digital downloads and rehearsal footage ensures that fans of Necrophagist, The Faceless and Beneath the Massacre can expect to be gobsmacked by what is going to be one of the most impressive debuts of 2014.
Speaking of impressive debuts, since hitting the scene in late 2014 supporting King Parrot at their sell out show at the Northcote Social Club, The Arbiter have been successfully endeavouring to reintroduce an old school groove into the modern death metal genre. With a tasteful blend of bands such as Thy Art is Murder, Pantera and Lamb of God, The Arbiter are poised to rope in a new crop of fans to their already rapidly expanding fan-base.
Upon releasing their film clip without even completing their line up in 2012, death metal band Hadal Maw started a buzz that quickly erupted into a demand for performances around the country following their live debut in March of 2013. Punters will have the chance to hear some new compositions performed for the first time in Melbourne as the 8 string wielding five piece prepare to venture into the studio to record one of 2014’s most anticipated releases.
Headlining the event will be the monstrous return of the Seaford Monster. The reputable death/slam four piece are emerging from the depths for their first show in five months, bringing with them a slew of fresh material showcasing a new blackened death influence, while still satisfying the slam contingent with their ridiculously heavy cocktail of grind and death metal that has made them a local staple in their genre.
