News : 3 Inches of Blood to tour Australia in April 2014
Another day, another tour announcement from Metropolis Touring. This time, it’s for Canadian heavy metal warriors 3 Inches of Blood.
The band last ventured down-under on the one-off No Sleep Til touring festival in 2010, and almost two years after their latest album ‘Long Live Heavy Metal’, they will return to Australian shores on a headlining tour.
In today’s day and age, it is very rare to break onto the metal scene and leave an everlasting impression to the same extent that the “Canadian Warriors” 3 Inches Of Blood have.
Drawing heavily on metal’s golden era, the British scene circa 1980 the guys recreated what was known and loved back then, added their own flavours and came up with masterpieces of sonic fury!
They began their ferocious tirade on the world in serious style after forming in 1999. A decade and a half on and with 5 full-length records and a handful of ground breaking EP’s to their name, 3 Inches Of Blood prove that metal is not dead and will be celebrated for many years to come.
Having shared the stage with the likes of The Darkness, Cradle Of Filth, The 69 Eyes and appearing at festivals like Ozzfest and Mayhem, the band can play in front of anyone. They have demonstrated to the world that from the first note, it is impossible to do anything but stop what you are doing and immediately break out into a fit of headbanging and ferocious moshing to the fast paced wall of sound which the band produce night after night.
With fist pumping anthems, catchy hooks and old school soloing 3 Inches Of Blood embrace the very nature of what metal’s about and will leave fans buzzing long after the lights come up. Known for their energy filled, high intensity performance and for feeding off the crowd like few can, the band deliver what AllMusic describe as “Iron Maiden-like galloping riffs and solos speeded up to thrash metal tempos, topped with Dungeons & Dragons-styled lyrics.”
“3 INCHES OF BLOOD now up the ante and will leave every metal fan crying iron tears of pure joy!”
Tickets including VIP Meet and Greet Packages will be available from the Metropolis Touring website from Friday the 15th of November at 9:00AM.
