Forming in 2008, progressive rock act TOEHIDER have kept themselves busy releasing a self-titled EP, 12 albums in 12 months calling it the 12in12 project and a debut album in 2011. The band released a spoof-metal track in October 2009, which has received 35,000 hits on Youtube to date. They have shared the stage with the likes of Sleepmakeswaves, The Protomen and Twelve Foot Ninja to name a few. TOEHIDER have been confirmed as Devin Townsend Project’s support act for the Brisbane and Sydney leg of the tour.
2013 has been nothing short of remarkable for NE OBLIVISCARIS. They kicked off the year featuring prominently in a range of Best Of 2012 lists with their album hailed as a ‘masterpiece’ (Metalinjection.com), ‘capable of holding you in stunned rapture for its entire duration’ (Metalobsession.net) and ‘one of the most original and creative pieces of art of not just the year, but the entire decade’ (KZSC Radio USA). These progressive metallers will be hitting the stage in Melbourne.
In the last few years, Perth’s VOYAGER have attained what can only be described as a cult following. The band’s notoriety for their energetic live performances have captured audiences worldwide and allowed them the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Nightwish, Steve Vai, Soilwork, Rhapsody Of Fire and Children Of Bodom. The band recently played the Hammersonic Festival in Indonesia, where they performed in front of ten thousand people. VOYAGER will be opening for Devin Townsend Project in Perth.
