Melbourne’s Bronson were formed in 2007 by lead vocalist, Jay Clair. Numerous name and line up changes have occurred since then but their attitude and focus remains unchallenged.Sticking bands into sub genres is an automatic response when hearing them for the first time but Bronson prefer to describe themselves as heavy with a message, one that’s designed to kick your teeth in at the same time.
Bronson released a demo in 2008, an EP in 2010 and a single/doco in 2011 before finally unleashing the monstrous Blood Brothers album in 2013. With a multitude of influences, the album appeals to a very wide variety of metal fans combining 90’s groove with hardcore aggression. Huge Pantera sized riffs, epic Killswitch Engage choruses, ultra modern electronica that fills in spaces rather than taking them over and blazing, emotive goose bump inducing guitar solos make this an astonishing release from start to finish.
Recorded and mixed in Australia by Roman Koester of Complex Studios and mastered in Sweden by Peter In de Betou of Tailor Made Productions. With an unofficial band motto of ‘life’s too short to be serious about most things, so we take each moment as it comes. We play as hard as we can live and we make awesome mates along the way, it’s our way of life’
Their music is their passion. It’s unpretentious, heavy as fuck and is about having a good time all the time. Bronson have toured before but it’s time to give it again! Fans should start preparing for their aural assault now!
