News : Alarum reveal details of a new album + line up changes

By on September 1, 2013

Melbourne’s Alarum have revealed plans to work on a brand new studio album. However, some slight changes have been made with guitarist Ryan Williams leaving the band and being replaces by Scott Young, who contributed to Alarum‘s previous albums, ‘Fluid Motion’ and ‘Eventuality’.

Firstly, guitarist Ryan Williams is no longer playing in Alarum as he’s made the move back to his hometown on the Gold Coast. Aside from being jealous of the weather he’s about to enjoy, we’d like to send a huge thanks to Ryza for all the years he has spent with us and we wish him all the very best for the future. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any of his happenings as he’s a great composer as he is guitarist. Ryza has left a few words for us:

“Thanks to my Alarum brothers, all the bands we played with and all the fans we played for.It was a great experience and I look forward to rocking out with you all again ASAP \m/”.

Scott Young has now rejoined Alarum and we’ll be spending the rest of 2013 writing the 4th Alarum album, with a view to capture all that Alarum has touched on with the previous three albums and to push things even further with this current line up.

We’re pleased to announce we have a show coming up. There’s a huge line-up, including Rob doing double duty with Hadal Maw as well as free beer in order to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Aussie legends Dreadnaught. See you soon, cheers!

You can catch Alarum supporting Dreadnaught in September who will be celebrating their 21st anniversary. The line-up also includes Desecrator, Contrive, Frankenbok and heaps more. It all takes place on September 21st at the Reverence Hotel in Footscray from 1pm. Tickets available at the door.
