News : Terrorfest Alice Springs; The Amenta, DEAD, Nights Plague and more
Alice Springs might not be the first place that jumps to mind when you think about Aussie metal, but Top End Terror have put together a killer lineup that are heading to the red centre for Terrorfest.
“Headline act THE AMENTA are one of Australia’s most extreme metal acts. With a slew of albums and EP’s released over their 11 years together, they refuse to be categorised, letting their music and live show say everything that need be said.
Returning to Alice Springs are NIGHTS PLAGUE. After years away, a lengthy hiatus and other projects, they are ready to return to their home town for an incredible performance.
Melbourne’s two-piece punk bastards DEAD return after a successful tour of Australia and the US to crush some heads with their bass and drum intensity.
Also featuring locals MIAZMA on their last show of their first national tour; hard rockers UNBROKEN EXPANSE from Tennant Creek; local heavy rap/rockers NOKTURNL; Santa Teresa’s heavy metal force SOUTHEAST DESERT METAL; Darwin’s progressive rockers ROYMACKONKEY, reformed Darwin rock n’ rollers ZEDMAJOR, and the debut performance of local solo technical death metal project INTERNAL CALIBRATION BALANCE.”
Terrorfest will happen on August 31st, with doors opening at 4pm and entry at $25. Expect a diary-meets-review from one half of DEAD up on this very site after the show.
