News : Clagg & Summonus team up for mini tour
Press release:
Clagg from Melbourne and Summonus from Sydney are about to embark on a two show mini tour of immensely loud ‘n’ heavy proportions.
Over the past ten years Clagg – described by Hellride Music as “a filth doom fanatic’s wet dream” – have endured enormous challenges to emerge as one of Australia’s leading doom and sludge bands. Building their sound upon a foundry of monstrous guitar riffs, a bludgeoning rhythm section and demonic vocals, the band have been persistent in spreading their evil word despite many setbacks. Following multiple line-up changes, Clagg – now boasting Dav Byrne from Agonhymn in their ranks – are currently at their most cohesive and crushing.
Clagg’s brothers-in-sludge, Summonus, have two releases behind them including last year’s well received Zeichen Der Hexe full length. Described by Pyromusic.net as “the very epitome of down-tempo metal,” the four piece has had the privilege of supporting many well respected international visitors to Australia including Mastodon, Baroness, Black Cobra, Zeni Geva, Coffins and Acid King.
