News : Seven Nights of No Anchor (a short film)
Back in October, Brisbane’s No Anchor (who’s recent album was awesome, check out our review and then buy it or download it for free) played a event called Seven Nights of No Anchor. And, as I’m sure you can tell by the title of this article, they filmed some of it…
“…our good friend and poorly paid employee Tara Wardrop has edited some of that stuff into a video. Shot mostly in HD and with audio recorded live at The Waiting Room by Donovan (from No Anchor, not the folk singer) and Innez Tulloch, later it was mixed at Nowhere Studios, this shit is kinda glossy and special. Featuring live performances (including new track ‘Uninvited’), awkward interviews and tour footage, it turned out great. Tara also did our clip for ‘Dead Pony‘, so yeah, expect a certain level of radness.”
The video also includes a brand new song in full. And speaking of new music, March will see the release of a new EP featuring three songs and a cover of “Jordan, Minnesota” by Big Black.
On the live front, the band are hitting The Waiting Room (11 Browning St, West End) on Jan 5th with Undead Apes and Tangle. Entry is only $5, so get on it.
