News : New Doomsday Festival headliner and full lineups

The ever-so-heavy Doomsday Festival comes around again this October, headlined by an international band for the second time. While Japan’s Church of Misery unfortunately had to pull out of the spot, USA’s Cough have more than filled the spot.

“This heavyweight quartet formed in 2005 with the intent of becoming the heaviest band ever to hail from their home city and is, without a doubt, well on the way. Taking inspiration from the lumbering doom of Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Pentagram, Electric Wizard and Sleep, along with the filthy sludge of the likes of Eyehategod, they impress with their ability to embody everything from all out aggression to hypnotic psychedelia and earth moving stoner grooves.”

October 15th @ The Sando, Sydney

October 21st @ Enigma Bar, Adelaide
w/ Cough (USA), Space Bong, Hydromedua and Mammoth

October 22nd @ Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
w/ Cough (USA), d.USK, Clagg, Looking Glass, Summonus, Hydromedusa, Sons of the Ionian Sea, Mother Mars and Wurms
