Many have been waiting nearly 8 years for Morbid Angel to release their highly anticipated “comeback” album, ‘Illud Divinum Insanus’. The album was originally set for release sometime back in 2007, but due to touring commitments, Morbid Angel pushed back the release several times to write further material for their eighth studio album.

The Florida based death metal outfit are now signed with French label Season of Mist to bring forth what is called my many, as a bold statement in the death metal movement.

Lending influences from industrial metal, hardcore trance and conventional death metal. ‘Illud Divinum Insanus’ is surely a unique specimen in an otherwise over saturated death metal environment.

Metal Obsession had the pleasure to speak with Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent about the release of ‘Illud Divinum Insanus’ and the band’s previous tour to Australia.
