News : Elm St and Divine Ascension dual album launch
Press release:
“Headlining a huge night featuring no less than two album launches is one of Australia’s leading melodic/power metal bands BLACK MAJESTY. With influences ranging from Judas Priest, Dio, Manowar, Queensryche and Helloween this is a band that wears their influences on their sleeves yet also one that is striving to create new unique and powerful songs. Black Majesty have always shown great passion for the music they play and they’ve helped spread the word with tours of Europe, Asia and Australia, playing alongside heavyweights such as Helloween, Saxon, Paul Dianno, Edguy, Hammerfall and Dragonforce many of whom were overwhelmed by the bands powerful energy. Make sure you don’t miss them at Espy in Melbourne on April 8!
With a style that is heavily influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar and Savatage, ELM STREET have claimed their spot in the vastly growing new wave of traditional heavy metal. With their debut album set to be released in April 2011, produced by Ermin Hamidovic (Eye Of The Enemy, In Malice’s Wake, Orpheus) and featuring artwork by metal legend Ed Repka (Megadeth, Death, Vio-Lence, Municipal Waste), ELM STREET prepare to take on the international scene with full force and a product that will garner them great exposure both nationally and internationally. 2011 will no doubt leave you screaming for more BARBED WIRE METAL!
One of Australia’s finest female fronted metal bands, DIVINE ASCENSION, has proven to be an awe-inspiring live act lead by the powerful, emotive performances of Jennifer Borg. Now with their debut, As The Truth Appears, due for release in mid 2011, they are gearing up to show the world they mean business. Produced & mixed by Ermin Hamidovic of Systematic Productions and mastered by Plec from Panic-Room Mastering (Scar Symmetry), As The Truth Appears features 12 tracks & 60 minutes of music and is a release bound to receive global attention and see the band obtaining a place as one of the world’s best emerging female fronted metal acts. With tracks ranging from powerful and dynamic to epic and melodic, As The Truth Appears will not only allow Divine Ascension to storm onto the international metal scene, but will continue to cast the global metal spotlight on the shores of Australia.
Joining them on the night will be Adelaide’s amazing female fronted metallers BLACK ORCHID and Melbourne thrash metal band HARLOTT.”
