Summer Breeze Open Air Preview

Europe’s heavy metal festival season is fast approaching as we inevitably draw a close to the month of July. As the Australian metal community slowly freeze there ass off each weekend heading out to countless great local talent we have on offer, our metal brethren in Europe get ready for warmer weather ahead and a galore of music festivals to-boot.

Each year Europe is host to an amazing array of heavy metal and alternative music festivals, many of which exceeding attendees of 100,000 people. Australian music festivals like Big Day Out and Soundwave are mere small gatherings by comparison.

This year Metal Obsession will take part on an epic journey to bring you the sights and sounds of many of these festivals, one of which being Summer Breeze Open Air. Summer Breeze first started back in 1997 where it was held in Abtsgmünd until 2006, where it was moved to its new location of Dinkelsbühl near Bavaria in Germany. The festival annually brings in around 40,000 people from across the globe. Heavy metal music and beer collide in a implosion of epic proportion which flow for a constant 3 days in the rural area of Dinkelsbühl.
