Just a friendly reminder to our readers. Marty Friedman’s long awaited guitar clinic tour will commence this evening in Melbourne at Allans Music, Bourke St.

Tickets are exhausted for the Melbourne clinic, but are still available for the Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide clinics.

Heralded as one of the ultimate guitar superstars of all time, Marty Friedman first made his name by forming the guitar-intense virtuoso outfit Cacophony, but landed an even higher profile gig as the lead guitarist of Megadeth. His debut with the band, “Rust in Peace”, demonstrated his immediate impact on the rest of the group, still standing as one of the most technically accomplished thrash metal albums of all time.

His improvisational skills and fusing of exotic musical styles is legendary. In a bold move and with sales in excess of 10 million albums, Marty left Megadeth to pursue and achieve new musical goals. Now residing in Tokyo, Friedman has become a household name television celebrity in Japan, has released 9 of his own solo albums, and continues to tour, record, and inspire music lovers the world over.
