News : Steve Hughes announces Adelaide Fringe Festival dates

Steve Hughes began his stage career in the 80s as the drummer in several Australian thrash metal bands including Slaughter Lord [which he formed], Mortal Sin and Nazxul. After 10 years on the road, he ditched the sticks and began performing stand up in the mid-90s, relocating to the UK in 2002. Steve is now widely regarded as one of the most esteemed and exciting stand up comedians working on the UK and international circuit.

Don’t be deceived by Hughes’ laconic style – It’s hard-hitting social commentary at its best. While happy to wax lyrical on drugs, sex, and rock n roll, his often provocative delivery on the topical, political and intellectual is where he really fires. Don’t miss one of the sharpest stand ups this country has to offer while he’s here on home soil.
