The first annual Australian Metal Awards kick off in in Sydney within a matter of hours! For those in the area, get on down for a night of all star Aussie Metal!

Winners  for each of the 20 categories will be announced on the night, along with a performance by leading Australian metal band Sadistik Exekution who are set to demolish The Forum with their only return to the stage after 10 years. Other acts include Choas Divine, Eyefear, Bane of Isildur, Five Star Prison Cell and more!.

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has accepted an invite from event organisers to attend and gauge the size of the genre for a potential inclusion in furture ARIA Award events. This is our massive chance to show ARIA that heavy metal in Australia is a force to be reckoned with and that their is no other group of people more dedicated to their music than us! And, as an extra incentive to get to the venue nice and early, the first 20 people through the door will receive an Australian Metal pack worth over $100 in value.
