News : Killrazor removed from Aus Metal Awards lineup

Sydney’s Killrazor has been removed from the lineup of tomorrow night’s Australian Metal Awards, set to be held at The Forum in Sydney.

Official press release:

“Due to unexpected events, it is with regret that we announce that the band Killrazer have been removed from the 2009 Australian Metal Awards line up.

We have dedicated this last year to creating an event that will finally bring this genre of music the recognition it has always deserved. We feel that all of the bands selected to perform, while different in styles, are equally as important as each other.

Due to the actions and comments from certain members of the Killrazer camp it has unfortunately become clear that these individuals do not share our view, vision and goals for this event.

The 2009 Australian Metal Awards is about this genre of music and not about a single act or individual egos as this the only way we will make a difference.“

Winners  for each of the 20 categories will be announced on the night, along with a performance by leading Australian metal band Sadistik Exekution who are set to demolish The Forum with their only return to the stage after 10 years. Other acts include Choas Divine, Eyefear, Bane of Isildur, Five Star Prison Cell and more!.
