News : Templestowe to launch album with 5SPC, IMW
The 10th of October will mark the release party for Canberra band Templestowe and their debut full length album titled ‘Cimmerian’.
The album will be released in hard copy by the band, and digitally through Itunes, Amazon and Emusic. The band’s first release since their 2007 EP, Cimmerian features mixing by Scott Carter (Aeon of Horus), engineering by Mark Lews (The Black Dahlia Murder) and mastering by Goran Finnberg (Opeth, In Flames).
The event will be supported by Melbourne experimental rockers Five Star Prison Cell, thrashers In Malice’s Wake and locals Tortured. Doors open at 8pm, $10 entry or $25 with the ‘Cimmerian’ digipak.
“Cimmerian represents a new beginning for the band. It represents a conscious effort to create something fresh and extend our own musical horizons. That said, listeners will still find hints of the raw ethereal sound of our EP.
This album was a challenge from conception to creation but it is one we are wholly proud of and we hope that is reflected in the final product.“
