News : Dreadnaught album release this weekend in Melbourne
Since forming in 1992 and releasing four LPs and 2 EPs, Dreadnaught have established themselves as a cornerstone for Australian heavy rock audiences. As genres and bands come and go Dreadnaught never fail to provide their loyal fans, both old and new, with diverse offerings that are rooted in the brand of Australian rock and metal that the band have become an historic part of.
The new self-titled album is a departure from the rock orientated releases of previous years and represents a return to the bands early thrash-metal roots, and is the heaviest Dreadnaught release to date.
They have toured extensively in Australian and have scored high profile supports with big names such as Testament, Strapping Young Lad, Nevermore, Paradise Lost, and Cathedral to name a few, as well as slots on leading Australian metal and rock festivals have earned Dreadnaught the reputation as one of Australia’s finest and hardest working live acts.
Dreadnaught (physical CD) is in stores on May 2nd through AmpHead; digitally available through AmpHead/The Orchard. The band’s launch show is this Friday in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club, as part of a double launch alongside Japanese band Argument Soul who launch their new album ‘Conflict of Crisis’.
