News : New Transcending Mortality samples online

Progressive metal band Transcending Mortality have unmastered samples of two new tracks from their upcoming final EP available on their Myspace. “The Mirrors Eye” and “Withering” are two of the three tracks on the EP which will be mastered and pressed within the next few weeks. It will then be available to purchase online or at various stores, as well as a free download option.

For those of you that are unaware of Transcending Mortality’s ‘disbanding’ of sorts, this is what they released when it originally happened:

“Hi all,

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but we have come to a decision not to continue on as Transcending Mortality. While the 4 of us have no set plans for the future, we will hopefully continue to work on new material – and I’m sure something good will come of this.

….. Also, as some of you will be aware we are midway through the recording of an E.p. which as it turns out will be the final Transcending Mortality release; so we will be doing all we can to ensure the end result is something that exceeds everyone’s expectations.

Sincere thanks to everyone for their support over the last 4 years… no doubt we’ll see you all around sometime soon!

It has since been announced that the band’s new name is ‘Rituals of the Oak’ which will be much more based around a doom sound rather than the progressive material of the past.
