News : Metallurgy album, recording and single update

Brisbane based heavy/progressive metal band Metallurgy have posted an update including information on their next album and single.

Hey all,
It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us as we have had some time away from the gigging circuit to concentrate on the recording of the album. I’m happy to say that things are coming along quite nicely and I would like to shed some light on some details.

Sinclair from Sedition has been recording and helping produce the album and we are extremely happy with the way the production has gone and the sound of the album. If you’re looking for somebody to record your band……hit him up!!!

The currently untitled album will have 10 tracks, all of which have at some point been featured in our live sets in some form or another. The track list will be finalised at a later date.

The recording process is still ongoing but we are fucking ecstatic to FINALLY announce the release date of some new material. We will be releasing a promotional single of the song ‘The Iron Mask’. This will be a 3 song single also featuring ‘Devil in Disguise’ and an acoustic version of ‘Still With Us’, which won’t be on the album.

March 14, 2009 is the date of the official launch gig for the single, details of which are still being finalised. The promotor will be plugging this gig very soon, so keep your ears to the ground for details. We will post details as soon as they are set in stone.

I hope everybody is as excited as we are about finally getting some decent quality recordings out there, and we’re hoping this single will help us promote the forthcoming album.
