MISERY SIGNALS

With The Amity Affliction and Confession

Last in the country as part of the 2007 Boys Of Summer Tour along side I Killed The Prom Queen and The Getaway Plan, MISERY SIGNALS are back! The Wisconsin-based metal / hardcore group will hit Australian shores this February for an 11-show national headline tour.

This time, they bring with them their third full-length studio album, ‘Controller’. ‘Controller’ is MISERY SIGNALS’ best work yet, setting a new watermark in their career. It is an extreme mark to aim for as the band’s previous release, Mirrors (2006), received a deluge of critical acclaim and fan praise. Among those well wishers was Alternative Press who featured the band as ‘100 Bands You Need To Know in 2007’ and yielded the quote “Let’s face it: A lot of metal-roar-core acts don’t mix in Sigur Ros-esque ambient breaks within the kind of gut-wrenching boom you’ll find on the Signals’ recent disc, Mirrors.”

MISERY SIGNALS is a band’s band – looked up to because of their technical proficiency, progressive song structures, heavy emotion-provoking beats, lyrical genius and stimulating live performances. In regards to production, the band’s relationship with Devon Townsend has resulted in Controller being as well produced as it is written and performed. MISERY SIGNALS are a heartfelt and heavy onslaught.

Joining them on the road will be The Amity Affliction and Confession. Hailing from the gutters of Brisbane’s potent hardcore scene, The Amity Affliction are currently celebrating their debut album ‘Severed Ties’ (Boomtown Records) and are shaping up to be Australia’s most loved hardcore acts.

After gaining notoriety through his time as vocalist for Adelaide metal legends I Killed The Prom Queen, Melbourne hardcore sensations Carpathian, and USA mosh kings Bury Your Dead, Michael Crafter is back with his latest group Confession. Teaming up with 50 Lions guitarist and songwriter Dan Brown, the pair put together a band and made it their business to bring back the mosh!

Misery Signals, The Amity Affliction and Confession join together to create one of the most complete hardcore line-up in years.
