Bio:

Globally there are thousands of metal bands competing for market attention, battling to ensure their place in history, and vying for their hallowed place amongst the metal gods. And no-one could have expected Double Dragon, from a small town at the bottom of the Earth called Adelaide, to be the next band to rub shoulders with metal’s elite and produce a classic metal album in the ever changing world of heavy music.

Their debut album ‘Devastator‘ takes bone crushing sonic obliteration to the next level, but also proves that there’s more to these guys than just no-holds-barred heavy metal annihilation in their sights. Its scope is bigger, it’s extremes are greater, and it’s songs set a new benchmark for heaviness and melody combined.

After several years of carving a name for themselves, solidly pushing their first independent EP ‘Have Them Destroyed‘ and later their first official EP release ‘Scars Of Fire‘, as well as touring the nation from Adelaide to Perth to Brisbane to everywhere else and back again (including high profile support slots with Slayer, Arch Enemy, Big Day Out tour and a national tour with Soilwork), ‘Devastator‘ is the album Double Dragon always promised to make.

The song writing for ‘Devastator‘ not only focused on creating the heaviest metal they had ever made, but also on pushing themselves in other musical directions to create a work that traversed genres and demonstrated multiple aspects to their sound. It’s Double Dragon’s statement to the world. It’s heavy, it’s aggressive, it’s honest, and amidst it all shines moments of extreme beauty. And best of all, Double Dragon are here to stay!
