Cog get J-Award nomination:
Triple J has added Sydney power-trio COG’s Sharing Space to its list of nominees for its Australian Album of the Year.“We are fucking stoked to get this J Award nomination. It means a lot coming from triple j, we are so grateful for all the support we get from the triple j listeners and all the j crew. If there is one award in Australia that we would want to be nominated for it is the J Award, it’s an honor to be included along side such awesome Australian bands.”
Real Groovy for sale
New Zealand’s Real Groovy music store chain is for sale after 28 years. Managing director Chris Hart says the stores in four cities are operating well. But the combination of a bad foreign exchange deal and his business partners wanting to move on, has led to the move. Hart says his favoured option would be to get a partner who’ll put capital into the business. Last November, another NZ music chain Sounds shut after its parent company got debts of NZ$20 million.
Destroy all boundaries!
