News : Vocalist leaves Pegazus
Rob Thompson, vocalist of Australian power metal band Pegazus, has left the band due to some “unfortunate and ongoing personal issues”. The band have been in talks with possible replacements and an announcement is to be made soon. You can read the bands press release below.
“Hope you’re all doin’ great!
Just to get everyone up to speed on what has been happening with PEGAZUS over the past few months.
We have an important announcement to make, as vocalist Rob Thompson is now no longer in PEGAZUS. Due to some unfortunate and ongoing personal issues for Rob over these past few years, it has been difficult for him to meet the demands of the band, therefore he decided to quit the band back in early April.
We understand his difficult situation and it is one that needs a lot of time, so for his and the band’s benefit we felt compelled to let him get on with the healing of his life without all the pressures required of being in a band like PEGAZUS.
We trust everything works out for Rob and wish him all the very best. He has been a great friend and band mate…as we did have many good times rockin’ out over the years.
While the band has still been rehearsing and working hard on the songs for the new album. The past 2 months has also given us the necessary time to clearly think and reflect on where PEGAZUS has been in the past and where we are now heading into the future.
Over the past month we have been in talks with a possible replacement on lead vocals for the band and although nothing is confirmed just yet, at this point it is all looking very positive. Without giving anything away right now, we’re pretty sure the PEGAZUS fans are going to be very excited as soon as we are able to announce and confirm just who the new vocalist will possibly be.
