News : Demolition on hiatus

By on May 24, 2008

Melbourne-based thrash band Demolition have announced they are going on hiatus. Not many details have been given but the following message was posted on their Myspace.

Hey folks, as you know by the title it aint good news.

Due to some circumstances beyond my point of tolerance, I will be putting the band into hibernation for now until I see fit as to continue with it. I wont go into details as to why I am doing this publicly.

All I can say is that I am extremely gutted by what has happened and immensely disappointed at the outcome of something which could have soared to great levels in the music scene here and abroad. But this is beyond my control and my patience so it’s really the only option I have left now.

I am unsure of where this hiatus will lead but this will be the last update for a while and I will stay in touch via PM only from now on to those who want to know.

Thanks to all for their support and friendship though such a tumultous time. Thanks to Davin and Alan for all their help in holding this thing together for as long as it has. There are still quite a number of CDS left for sale if anybody wants one so do be in touch if you need one.

Cheers
– Rick
